Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the North Shore Snow website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Services Description

North Shore Snow provides professional commercial snow and ice management services in the North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and Greater Vancouver area, including but not limited to:

  • Commercial snow removal (parking lots, walkways, loading areas)
  • De-icing and salting services
  • Ice monitoring and prevention
  • 24/7 weather monitoring and proactive dispatch
  • Customized winter maintenance plans

All services are subject to availability and the terms of individual service agreements between North Shore Snow and the client.

Service Agreements

Specific service terms, including scope of work, service frequency, response times, and pricing, are outlined in individual service agreements between North Shore Snow and each client. These service agreements, when executed, form a binding contract and may contain additional terms that supplement these general Terms of Service.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed service agreement, the service agreement shall prevail.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in individual service agreements. General payment conditions include:

  • Invoices are issued according to the schedule specified in the service agreement (monthly, per-visit, or seasonal)
  • Payment is due within the timeframe specified in the service agreement (typically 30 days from invoice date)
  • Late payments may be subject to interest charges as outlined in the service agreement
  • North Shore Snow reserves the right to suspend services for accounts with outstanding balances

Liability Limitations

North Shore Snow carries commercial general liability insurance. While we take every reasonable precaution to provide safe and effective snow and ice management services, the following limitations apply:

  • North Shore Snow shall not be liable for damages arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather events, acts of nature, or other force majeure events
  • Our liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim
  • North Shore Snow is not responsible for pre-existing property conditions, hidden hazards, or damage resulting from client negligence

North Shore Snow provides documented service records and time-stamped photographs as evidence of service delivery for liability protection purposes.

Weather Conditions Disclaimer

Snow and ice management services are inherently dependent on weather conditions. The following disclaimers apply:

  • Weather conditions can change rapidly and without warning. While we monitor forecasts continuously, actual conditions may differ from predictions
  • Ice may reform between service visits due to temperature fluctuations, precipitation, or other natural factors beyond our control
  • Snow accumulation rates may exceed the capacity for immediate clearing during severe winter storms
  • North Shore Snow does not guarantee that surfaces will be completely free of snow or ice at all times, as winter weather is an ongoing and dynamic natural process
  • Property owners and managers retain responsibility for monitoring their properties between scheduled service visits

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms are specified in individual service agreements. General cancellation conditions include:

  • Seasonal contracts require written notice of cancellation as specified in the service agreement (typically 30 days)
  • Early termination of seasonal contracts may be subject to cancellation fees
  • Per-visit service cancellations must be communicated prior to crew dispatch to avoid charges
  • North Shore Snow reserves the right to cancel or modify services due to safety concerns or extreme weather conditions
